Week 2 Complete - Initiating Week 3

I had a great Week 2!  I anticipated 0 for loss as Week 2 is historically a challenging one for most people on a program.  Your body is reacting from the huge loss of Week 1 and readjusting itself getting ready for more loss.

I ended up losing 3.1 this week for a total loss so far of 16.6 lbs!

I have not "cheated", and the more I make that statement, the more I feel like that word really doesn't have a place in my vocabulary anymore.  There is no such thing as "cheating" for me.  It is choosing to want better for my fuel engine called my body.  Period. =)

The other night I had a low-fat vanilla yogurt with fresh raspberries.  I would drop one raspberry in, then scoop with a bit of the yogurt.  It was SOOO sweet it felt like I was having raspberry cheesecake.

I realized the majority of my diet is raw foods.. b/c I don't really like to cook. =)  I am a put it together and eat it kinda girl.  Raw fruits and raw vegetables are a constant throughout the day.

Yesterday I was out of the house first thing in the morning and up to Fredrick, MD.  Then back home by 1p, let out the dogs, few minor chores, then back out again to the Farmer's Market in Bethesda.  Clearly farmer's sell out of their goods fairly early (and even go home if they don't have enough to sell - makes sense) and so I will need to start hitting them a bit earlier.  I am leaving shortly for one in Takoma Park.  I brought all of my berry containers and egg containers and gave them to one of the vendors yesterday for "re-use".  I think I could totally get into this locally bought Farmer's market thing. =)

Last night we had filet mignon that I got from the farmer's market in Bethesda.  They were d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!  It had been awhile since I had red meat, but the chipotle lime merinade made them fantastic as always - plus my genius husband is the master at cooking the steaks just right. =)  I even have another steak left over that I am slicing up and freezing for sometime next week as a topper to a salad, or on some kind of sandwich. =)

I fried my hubby's homemade french fries last night.  After they were all done and he had some salt and pepper on them (way more salt than I would consume in a week at this point) I had one little moment of hesitation.  Just one fry won't hurt, they look so good... then gained my composure and I moved the plate to a counter where they weren't in front of me and moved on.  I did not take a single fry.  I might have smelled the plate a few times.. but I figure I free will ate fries for 39 years, I can keep it under control for one year without any problem. =)

I will watch Biggest Loser Week 3 tonight to see what I should be on the lookout for this week.  I want to watch past seasons that I didn't get to see on Hulu.com but I have been keeping myself pretty busy off of the computer.. so that will just have to wait.  I hear from my Challenge Team that Week 3 some of the cravings come on pretty hard.  So I will just recognize that to be the case, and prepare myself for that challenge this week ahead. =)

Bring on Week 3!
